The southwestern United States has always struggled with dry weather, and in the face of global warming and over population demands, water conservation technologies present an excellent opportunity to reduce water consumption while saving money.
In an effort to reduce their water consumption, the Hollywood Bowl installed our waterless urinals in 2007, allowing them to save 3.4 million gallons of water every year.
“With over a million visitors during our events season, our restroom usage peaks during the summer months, and trouble-free function night after night is a must. As a Los Angeles County park, we feel the added responsibility of maintaining a sustainable operation. By upgrading to waterfree urinals, we save as much as 3.4 million gallons of water a year. Falcon has helped us to achieve measurable water conservation, appreciable cost savings and an ease of maintenance that we rely upon.”, says Gail Samuel, Chief Operating Officer.
To optimize the synergy effects of our urinal technology, the facility also uses our new Velocity cartridge, which provides benefits such as:
Cleaner Pipes and Housing
Our patent-pending anti splash pour spout utilizes speed and directional flow to streamline urine through your housing and your buildings’ pipes; helping to effectively eliminate the mess and build up associated with our older technology and any of our competitor’s cartridges. Nobody likes a smelly bathroom! That’s why we eliminated the area that used to cause bacteria to grow. The new Velocity Cartridge keeps your restroom virtually odor-free.
Better Retain of Sealant
Forget the days when your maintenance staff had to replace the sealant! Our interior baffle allows the cartridge to retain its sealant barrier even under the most challenging maintenance practices, such as bucket dumping, which helps wash out struvite, a soft and water-soluble substance, that can collect in pipes of waterfree urinals.
No more Splash Back
The new diverter shield not only reduces splashing, it also helps prevent debris from entering the cartridge!
Cues you when to replace
Not sure when to change our cartridge? Now you have a way to check! Our blue indicator ring at the entrance of the cartridge provides you with a visual cue that helps you know when it is ready to be changed. As the cartridge reaches the end of its lifespan, liquid levels will rise making it more difficult to see the blue indicator marker, ultimately making maintenance easier.
