Next Tuesday August 16th, we will be presenting at the Southern California Chapter Meeting of the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials or IAPMO. IAPMO is a membership-based association that coordinates the development and adaptation of plumbing, mechanical, swimming pool and solar energy codes to meet the specific needs of individual jurisdictions both in the United States and abroad.
Founded on May 17th, 1926, the first 39 Southern California plumbing inspectors decided to write a model code to protect the health of people from inefficient plumbing practices, which nowadays are used worldwide: the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC); Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC); Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code (USPSHTC); Uniform Solar Energy Code (USEC); and the Green Plumbing and Mechanical Code Supplement (GPMCS).
Come Join Us:
The speaker this month is Daniel Gleiberman the Product Compliance & Government Affairs Manager for our longtime partner Sloan. Daniel will be discussing the history of water conservation technologies and the effects of lessened water on plumbing systems through his presentation “Urinal Drainline Considerations and Solutions.”
The plumbing market understands the need to minimize water consumption, and as the volume of urinal fixture water has been decreasing into a trickling of a pint of water we are seeing an unforeseen performance issues in a system built for high volume flushes. The high concentrations of urine and water creates an extremely hard, cement like sediment called calcite that accumulates and clogs plumbing infrastructure.
Here at Falcon, we have created the most reliable solution by combining the best attributes of the waterfree technology with the best of the flushing technology. The Hybrid Urinal, available through Sloan, works as a waterfree technology and automatically flushes a full gallon (4 liter) flush through the housing and pipe system every 72 hours, providing the most hygienic, water-saving, high performance urinal available in the market.
We invite you to come and meet us!
