How would the world change if the power of business were used as a force for good? How many lives would be improved if companies measured their impact on society and the environment as carefully as they measured their profit margin? What if all companies competed, not to be the best in the world, but to be the best for the world? These are a few of the questions asked daily by B Lab, the non-profit responsible for certifying B Corporations around the world. Their mission is to help these “what ifs” become reality, and the movement is already underway.

One great example of B Lab’s work is their participation in the Social Entrepreneurs Challenge. This Challenge helps some of the world’s leading social entrepreneurs raise funds to support their work. Participants in the Challenge are recipients of the Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, presented by the Skoll Foundation each year. Leaders across the world, who are driving large-scale change and are poised to make a significant impact on the world get to create awareness and raise money for a good cause.

Last week, B Lab won two bonus challenges in a row thanks to you. Last week, we were one of the 20 organizations with the most donations in the challenge and won $5,000 in matching funds. We are proud to be a part of the B Corp community and have contributed to the cause! If you want to know more about the challenge click here. In case you want to help out as well, go to this link and donate – the challenge goes on until December 5th.

P.S: They put together a pretty cool and inspiring video for the challenge. Check it out!
